Paging is a memory management technique that permits the physical address space of a process to be non-contiguous.
Memory Management Unit (MMU) is the hardware component in your computer that handles virtual memory. Any request for data is sent to the MMU which then determines the location of the information; whether it's in RAM or on a permanent storage drive. The MMU is usually located on your machine's CPU. MMU includes a small amount of memory that holds a table matching virtual addresses to physical addresses. This table is called the Translation Look-aside Buffer (TLB).
